On 21 September 2026, the WG4: Innovative Technology and Product Development within Connected and Autonomous Vehicles Value Chains Working Group meeting was held online. The meeting focused on areas of work aimed at strengthening innovative technology and product development capacity across the value chains.
Led by Working Group Coordinator Prof. Dr. Orhan Alankuş, the online meeting brought together BOA members and sector stakeholders.
The session focused on concrete actions and work packages for the upcoming period. The processes for collecting information through the member portal on members’ global technology development capabilities and competitiveness needs were presented. Opportunities for developing joint consortia for Horizon Europe and national R&D funding programmes, as well as strategic collaboration opportunities with international centres within the European CCAM ecosystem, were discussed in detail. The meeting also addressed digital mapping of connections within the cluster and steps to support the entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Participating members shared their views and recommendations on technology development priorities, the integration of national capabilities into industrialisation processes, and opportunities for joint applications to international funding calls.
